Welcome to the blog for St. Olaf College's Math 257 (Noether and Kovalevskaya: Algebra/Analysis/Access in Europe)!  

Each student will take at least one turn being the day's contributor during our nearly 4 week trip to Europe studying the mathematics of Emmy Noether and Sofia Kovalevskaya, discussing issues of equitable access to education, and generally having fun experiencing German and Swedish culture.

Come back on January 5, 2026, when the whole class will have arrived in Göttingen, Germany, for the start of our course.
