Day 14: Adventures from Zurich
Hello from Zurich!
Today we had a slow morning, filled with laundry and hanging clothes on every knob, rail and surface found in the apartment.
After laundry had been washed and hung to dry, we began our aimless wandering in Zurich…And let me tell you, there are sights to be SEEN here.

We swung on the swings at Lindenhof, hiked up to EHF Zurich (where Einstein studied physics and mathematics for undergraduate) to find Einstein’s locker, then made our way to the Lindt House of Chocolate.

Here, we enjoyed some hot chocolate and sandwiches from the cafe, and saw every flavor of chocolate imaginable in the store.

To return back to the city center, four of us took a ferry around ZĂĽrichsee, while the other two opted for a nice long walk back to the apartment.

After a long day of noodling, we finished with a home cooked dinner (thank you Roxanne for making the delicious pasta!): alfredo pesto pasta, peppers, cucumbers, strawberries and blueberries.

Although the group is exhausted, and our clothes aren’t dry, this day turned out to be pretty incredible.
While we were walking mile after mile, the other groups saw all sorts of cool things:
Kate, Jasper, Ben, and Grace went to the Prague Castle.
Megan saw the Munich Cathedral.
John went to the Munich Town Hall.
Collin saw the Salzburg Castle.
Sasha went to a HUGE market.
I can’t wait to get up to some more shenanigans tomorrow (hopefully with dry clothes)! Goodnight from Switzerland!

I love the recreation of the statue with Kaisa and Rachael!
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed some of you in Prague in the heavy fog. I too loved the reenactment of the person and raptor statue!
