Day 6: Visit to the Forum Wissen Museum
Happy Friday from Germany. The day started off with some fresh new snow, with rain throughout the day. Although our planned tour of the Wartburg Castle (and a visit to a Botanical Garden) was cancelled due to the non-stellar weather, we did do other things.
(However here’s Collin who did still go to the castle on his own today).
For mostly everyone else, we went to the Forum Wissen Museum Nearby. This was a pretty fun museum filled with interesting historical things (such as how the communists resisted against the nazis while being their work prisoners) and interactive experiences such as one where a decent amount of us tried to get the high score on things such as the combination that was considered most “beautiful”(a very relative definition).
Afterwards, after a decent amount of us were unable to go to botanical gardens, we decided to use the very sticky snow to make our very own snowman, saying yellow to any of the people walking by on the path where the wall around the town used to be.
(His name is Eisig (“Frosty” for the Americans) and he says hi).
To top off the day, we had no class time today so we all could relax a bit a explore the city here a bit more before tomorrow, when we’ll catch a train ride to our next destination.
