Traveling to Heidelberg

Guten tag!! Today we packed up our bags, said our goodbyes to our varied cities and assembled in Heidelberg! For some the day started with a 5:30 train from Prague. My day however started with a walk to the Munich train station where I grabbed a sandwich and chocolate croissant before boarding my train to Heidelberg. My train pulled out of Munich at 9:47:00, perfectly on time, something almost unheard of in Germany these days.

Upon arriving in Heidelberg I met up with the Zurich group and we walked to the hotel together. Once into my room

I immediately left for the train station where I grabbed lunch to go, and yes I got an obligatory chocolate croissant.

I hopped on the first train to Rimbach, a small nearby town where a recent ole grad showed me around. He also took

me on a short walk onto the hill near town to get some great views of the valley!

Once I had taken my share of photos I took a train to Mannheim where I grabbed dinner on my way back to

Heidelberg for the evening. Don't worry I did get the legally mandated chocolate croissant.

Is it really a meal if there isn't a chocolate croissant

While I was off on my little escapade to Rimbach the rest of the class embarked on a tour of Heidelberg seeing

highlights around the city including the castle!

Auf wiedersehen! Bis morgen
