Day 7: Traveling to Nürnberg

Hallo! Today we battled train cancellations as well as delays and multiple transfers between trains on our trip! Despite all of the difficulties due to weather, we were able to make it safely to Nuremberg where we had the Guinness world record fastest check in time with 18 people and met a tour guide for a tour of the city. This image shows us on one of our trains today!

Our tour was very informative and we learned a lot about the history Nuremberg as a city, along with the history and functionality of some of the buildings. The church was absolutely gorgeous and is said to hold the 11th largest organ in the world!

The city still seemed to be in Christmas mode from the holiday season and much of it was decorated with trees and ornaments. The snow also added to the sense of Christmastime. 

Altogether, the day was very calm and we cannot wait to explore more of the city for the upcoming week! Tschüss!
